Artist research: Anders Arhoj

Anders Arhoj owns Arhoj studios in Copenhagen, Denmark. It is an interior and design studio. The studio's work is based on scandinavian simplicity with an essence of Japanese influence. They create unique cute home wears as well as art prints and a whole range of other products. 

The style of this art is very blocky and doesn't use lines the colours are very traditional and give a bit of a retro but at the same time contemporary feel. I will use this style of not using any lines to experiment and see how it looks with my design. 

The image below is one of my favourites because of the unique but very scandinavian colours that have been used.  I also think that the way some building have been drawn using only line work, works really well.  

This is an ornament that the studio produces i love how unique and cute the item is. I think the way they have left the bottom of the ornament bare works so well because the design is pretty simple and it adds a more interesting look to it.
