Branding: Limited edition CD packages

To make CD sales in this current technology driven society I feel as though you have to make the product that you are selling a bit more special so fans will want to buy it over just downloading the music. A good way to do this is to bring out a special edition box set as it goes the extra mile and you can charge a lot more for it as opposed to just selling a CD. These packages usually include a poster, the CD and an item of merchandise sometimes a few different things and are usually packaged really nicely in some form of box. For this brief i have decided to create my project around this idea and create products that will be consistent in concept and design and all go together as one coherent package. 

I looked at a few different special edition packages to see what has been done in the past. I found that a lot of the time these special edition packages include a really unique item that you cant usually buy, this will help persuade the consumer as there is no other way to buy the products that you get within this special edition box. These packages really do go the extra mile in order to make the consumer feel like they are getting something really special. Below are a few good examples that I have found.
